Make sure your computer system is ready to work in the show environment! Below is information on Technical Requirements (very important in order to view presentations and chat with attendees): Participating in the HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo requires a Windows PC using Internet Explorer 6.0 (minimum) or Firefox 1.5, or a Mac using Firefox 1.5. High-speed Internet access (Cable, DSL, Network) is highly recommended and is required for all Education Sessions and Presentations. Pop-up blockers must be disabled. Cookies should be enabled.
Upon entering the show, an automatic system check will identify the PC requirements that need to be addressed in order to participate. In order to hear presentations, you will need to have your speakers active and volume on. Please note: pop up blockers may be located in more than one place. Make sure all are disabled, including in your browser, on toolbars such as Google, and in any Internet security systems.
Also, please select F11 on the top of your keyboard if you wish to increase the size of your screen.
For more information, visit the Technical Support booth when the show opens, where you’ll find tools such as the Pop-up Identifier Utility that enables you to see what popup blockers are installed on your computer.
