  Abstract: Mobile technologies help clinicians work more efficiently and enable the care continuum outside of traditional care settings. Increasingly, healthcare workers are expecting to use their own personal mobile device-of-choice within the enterprise setting. This creates issues for IT around device support and serious concerns about data security. During this session, you will learn about techniques for dealing with these issues. Doug McDonald is the Wireless Network Manager with Siemens Enterprise Communications working in a dedicated capacity for Henry Ford Health System in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Services Management from Michigan State University. Doug has thirteen years of experience as an IT professional, five dedicated in healthcare WI-FI. He holds a number of certifications including CPHIMS, CWNA, CWSP, and ITILV3. Doug is responsible for over 4.2 million square feet of wireless Infrastructure at Henry Ford Health System. This includes over 3000 access points a number of wireless controllers, and an overlay Intrusion detection/prevention system. He is now leading an initiative to nearly double the wireless footprint at Henry Ford Health System.

Ali Youssef is a Wireless Solutions Architect with Siemens Enterprise Communications working in a dedicated capacity for Henry Ford Health System as a Biomedical Solutions Architect. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with Mechanical Engineering minor from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a CWSP, PMP, CPHIMS, and ITILV3 certifications. Ali has a total of 12 years of experience with medical device design, network architecture, and project management. He has worked in the Automotive, and Healthcare sectors.

Dr. Mark Blatt, MD

Dr. Blatt joined Intel in the summer of 2000 working in the New Business Group. He is currently Worldwide Medical Director, Enterprise Solution Sales, in the Sales and Marketing Group. In this role he concentrates on how HIT infrastructure can enable Providers to deliver cost-effective, quality care to a wide cohort of citizens. He has a particular interest in Integrated Care Delivery, Mobile Point of Care, Secure Computing, and the emergence of Cloud Computing services. Throughout 2010, he spoke at over 30 events on these topics including multiple HIMSS events (Virginia, Florida, Barcelona, Dubai, and Rome), Med-e-Tel (Luxembourg), AAFP annual conference (Denver), Partners Connected Care (Boston), and Panasonic Mobile summit (San Antonio).

Ben Wilson has over 20 years of healthcare experience in marketing, consulting, product management, and technology. As the Director, Global Healthcare Strategy, Mr. Wilson is one of the architects of Intel’s Healthcare IT Value Model and responsible for Intel’s integrated care delivery strategy worldwide. Also, Mr. Wilson serves as the Co-Chair of Accountable Care Community of Practice–The Community of Practice is a consortium of healthcare IT leaders that are committed to collaborate on issues of mutual concern for the benefit of providers that are developing or planning to develop an accountable care strategy. Prior to Intel, Ben was Executive Vice President and Founder of HealthAlliant, the premier boutique consulting firm serving HIEs. Prior to HealthAlliant, Mr. Wilson held executive positions at two successful start-ups: General Manager of the healthcare division of BabyCenter.com, and President and Founder of Consumer Health Interactive (CHI). Mr. Wilson holds an MBA and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from UC Berkeley and degree in Political Science from Stanford University.

For the past 5 years Sally Gallot-Reeves has been the director and facilitator of the healthcare projects at Frisbie memorial Hospital. She oversees and leads multidisciplinary teams to successful completion and implementation of new systems, software, process and workflow redesign and occupation of new or remodeled space. Prior to this role, Gallot-Reeves had over 20 years experience in hospital operations and management as the Director of Critical Care and Cardiology Services.
